Welcome to the end of term 3! What a busy term it has been, one which saw families impacted by the severe weather events, the aftermath of this event highlighted how united and resilient our community is. I hope that the holidays bring a positive change in the weather that will allow families to regroup and enjoy some rest and relaxation.

Independent Education Review
Have your say on the future of Tasmania’s education system
The Tasmanian Government has established an Independent Review of Tasmania’s education system to improve the education system over the next 10 years. And they want to hear from families, children and young people of all ages, and members of the community.
There are multiple ways you can get involved:
- Respond to the public Consultation Paper
- Complete the survey for educators, families and the community
- Complete the short survey for students
- Submit a creative response to the question (for children and young people only): Imagine yourself at the end of school, what have you learned, what have you achieved and who do you want to be?
Submissions responding to the Consultation Paper must be submitted by Sunday 13 October 2024, and all other consultation opportunities will close on Sunday 27 October 2024.
Visit the Independent Education Review website to learn more or email contact@ier.tas.gov.au
Have a safe and enjoyable holiday period.

Our annual Arts Celebration afternoon was held on Wednesday 11th September. A culmination of the Arts at Exeter Primary showcasing the 3-6 Choir, Exeter Junior Beginner Band, Senior Choir and solo performances from Belle, Zoe and Scarlett. We thank Mrs Delamore and Mrs Parsell for their work and guidance with these students. We were also treated to a performance by the Dance Fever group which Mrs Richards has been working with and we look forward to seeing their performances next term!
Mrs Howell was excited to share the student work on display in The Art Gallery. There are some fabulous pieces brightening the walls in the main corridor. The artwork will be handed back to students unframed in mid-2025 or there will be an opportunity for families to purchase their child’s artwork framed if they wish.
Prep students participated in optional swimming lessons over the past couple of weeks. These lessons were conducted by Mr Taylor in our school pool. Students were given the opportunity to gain experience in an aquatic environment to build their confidence and for those who were more familiar, consolidate their skills. We are fortunate to have our pool facility, and we thank the parent volunteers who were able to support organisation of students within the changerooms. Thank you to Anna, Susannah, Torey, Renee, Tamara, Sam, Mirabai, Chris and Sarah for your assistance.
