Medical Action Plans
As we enter the winter period, student illness becomes ever increasing and there is a need for medication to be administered. If this is the case for your child, you will need to contact the office and complete a medical action form as we are legally not allowed to administer medication without the appropriate approvals. If there are any changes to authorised medication, can you please contact the office to have our records reflect the new dosage or procedure.
End of School Day Pick Up
The end of the school day is a busy period for all schools, for Exeter Primary School there is the added complexity of school buses and childcare arrangements. During the past few weeks, some student arrangements have changed and have not been communicated with office staff, teachers, or the childcare. This causes a level of anxiety for staff as we ensure we maintain the safety and duty of care of all students. We ask parents and carers if arrangements change, please contact the office as soon as possible or as close to 2.30pm. This ensures we have enough time to communicate with students the necessary changes. If students are collected in person, parents/carers need to go through our administration building and sign students out prior to going to the classroom.

3/4 Zandavar Soft Pastel Sketches
During National Reconciliation Week we read some stories from the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, including Luwa Tara Luwa Waypa by Dave Mangenner Gough and Samantha Campbell, and Sea Country by Aunty Patsy Cameron and Lisa Kennedy. The animals in these and other stories, inspired us to draw some Tasmanian animals, using soft pastels in earthy colours. We hope you enjoy our sketches!
Orders can be brought to the school office, if ordering with cash by 17 June. Please place orders in an envelope with the student's name and class on the front. Orders can also be placed online using the Book Club Loop App.

TRIVIA NIGHT
Last week, on Friday, the 30th of May, the SA Committee held a trivia night at the Exeter Hub.
It was a cracking night, hosted by quizmaster extraordinaire Mr David Duncan (Gr 3/4). Who informed us that many of his questions were from the 3/4 curriculum! I have to say that there are many of us, who would not pass NAPLAN :)
The aim of the night was to increase community engagement (and raise a few funds). We had good turn out from some school families, some community members (including Gravelly Beach Firies), and some die-hard trivia fans, that came despite not having a whole table.
The winning table just happened to be this motley crew of trivia fans that were put together on the night - the Lone Stars. Whether they won because of their amazing trivia knowledge, or because Principal Taylor was on that table... only the scorer will know! They each received a bottle of wine from local business (Tamar Valley Wine Centre, Loira Wines, Exeter BWS, Legana BWS), coffee vouchers from Zimmah coffee (The Cabin and Roam), and beautiful flowers from school mum Katie Smith. Congratulations to the Lone Stars, and thank you to the local businesses who donated the prizes.
The SA Committee would like to extend its thanks to the other amazing local businesses that also donated prizes for runner-up tables and the silent auction.
