During the past few days I have had a number of people approach me and tell me of their observations about how calm the school is and how engaged the students are in their learning. It is wonderful feedback and upon reflection we are doing well in catering for the individual needs of our students. As staff we are very deliberate in our actions and planning to ensure we have positive interactions and relationships with all students. We strive to provide a learning environment which caters for all learning needs and styles. Engaged families play a huge role in this too. We value the communication, meetings and support which occurs daily to assist in the best learning outcomes for students. We are very lucky to be part of a wonderful school community and I would like to thank everyone for their continuing support of the staff at Exeter Primary School.
One way in which we continue to grow and thrive as a school is through parent/carer feedback. The annual parent survey is again open for families to provide information about the school and their interactions and connections to us.
2021 School Satisfaction Surveys
Each year the Department of Education conducts School Satisfaction Surveys in Tasmanian Government schools, to gain feedback on what you think our schools do well and where you think we may improve.
We encourage you to complete the survey about Exeter Primary School. Your feedback is very important to help us inform our school planning and decision-making.
You can complete the survey online at any time from Monday 23 August until Friday 17 September 2021.
All responses are anonymous and confidential with the survey carried out on a secure website.
Feedback is only accessible to the school principal and teachers and relevant Department of Education staff, in online summary report formats with no individuals or families identifiable.
For any assistance please contact Education Performance and Review by emailing: schoolsurveys@education.tas.gov.au.

Amazing Australian Animals
In Grade 1/2 BG we created Australian animal pictures using plasticine. We then had a go at writing an interesting sentence to go with our picture.
Exeter Primary Choir have been busily rehearsing for upcoming assemblies, the Arts afternoon, and for the first Tasmanian Youth Spectacular Event which is to be held at the Launceston Albert Hall in September this year.
There is still time for students to join Youth Spectacular. Those interested will need to return the registration form to Miss Delamore before August 10. Performance dates are 16, 17 and 18 of September 2021. When forms have been handed in, parents will be emailed further details regarding show times and final rehearsals.
Junior Classes have been experimenting with ways in which to record their creations. We have been looking at Graphic Notation, in particular looking at using shapes and colours to represent sounds and patterns.
Congratulations to all the students who were nominated in trials for the Country Gold Carnival last week.
A further acknowledgement to these students who were selected for the carnival in September representing Tamar against 5 other regional associations.
