I wish everyone all the best for the Easter holiday period. It will be a good opportunity for everyone to rest and reset for the last week of term.
ECE Swimming Orientation Program
During the past two weeks our Grade 1-2 students have participated in a Water Orientation Program in our school pool. The aim of the program was to give students the opportunity to gain experience and confidence in an aquatic environment with a slight emphasis on stroke development. The courage, growth and development of all students was rewarding for all involved. I would like to express my thanks to our swim instructor, Christie Pentland. She was able to support students in their development and provided differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students regardless of their swimming ability. To our volunteers who supported on the pool deck and changerooms, thank you.
P- 2 Athletics Event
It was wonderful to see our Early Childhood classes participate in their Athletic event with joy, laughter, and a sense of fun. The number of parents, carers, grandparents who attended to watch and encourage our young people brought a sense of occasion and energy to the morning, thank you! The students were very well supported by our sports leaders, teachers, teacher assistants and the organisation of Mr Atkins.
Grade 3- 6 Athletic Carnival
Participation was the winner of the Grade 3-6 Athletic Carnival. It was an outstanding carnival with students stepping outside their comfort to compete in events that they may not necessarily enjoy or be skilled at. It was an action-packed day with continuous running races and novelty events. We were fortunate to have Grade 9 -10 Student Leaders from Exeter High School supporting us with judging and organisation of events. The carnival was well attended by spectators, who were encouraging of all athletes.
Congratulations to the Bandicoot House who were the winners of the carnival.
