Principal Report
Good bye and Farewell
After more than 30 years as a teacher, Mrs Wendy Pearcey has decided it is time to retire. Wendy has been at Exeter Primary for 10 years and in that time would have taught almost 250 children, 250 lucky children, who have benefitted from Wendy’s wisdom, and high quality pedagogical practice. Wendy would be the first to admit that she has learnt just as much from the children she has taught and I suspect that her life is much richer for it. Her colleagues marvel at her quiet, gently approach with children and her deep empathy for children and adults alike. I have had many conversations with parents who have been grateful for Wendy’s care of their children and with children who have very many fond memories of being in Mrs Pearcey’s class.
I would like to acknowledge a wonderful career and a significant contribution to the education of hundreds of Tasmanian school children. We hope that Wendy has many happy memories and we wish her all the very best on her retirement.
