From the Principal
Dear Parents and Families
The past few weeks certainly have been challenging. The impact of the Corona Virus (COVID -19) has had an impact on a global stage with the impact affecting us on a daily basis. The impact here at a local level, whilst not huge in terms of illness and death, has required us to take measures which are unprecedented. I am extremely proud and grateful of the way in which students, staff and the community of Exeter Primary School have responded and stuck together to ensure that there has been a level of structure and normality around our teaching and learning. We have been in a privileged position within the community and been well informed by the Department Of Education and Department of Health with up to date information and courses of action. The level of care and hygiene throughout the school to keep our students safe has been exceptional.
As a staff we have been able to construct Home Learning – Offline Packs for students to access so that some form of learning can occur as we approach the holidays. Next week staff will continue to build both Online and Offline resources to support students should they be required to stay at home for the start of Term 2. There are available resources for families to access at the Learning at Home page via the link below. There is no expectation that all work is completed or that parents need to replicate a normal school day.

During the coming weeks I strongly encourage all members of the community to follow all advice given to us from the experts around staying at home, social distancing and any other relevant directions to ensure that we are in a healthy position to return to normal living in the near future.
The level of support and understanding from our community has been wonderful, from myself and staff we say thank you for that and the trust you have placed in us and wish you a safe holiday period.

School Association
The School Association would like to reach out to all our families during this challenging time. We’re thinking of each of you as we enter unfamiliar times, in all aspects of our lives.
It’s important to remember that we’re not expected to suddenly become home-schooling experts – so don’t expect too much of yourself (or your children). Learning happens through so many different ways. We thank the staff at Exeter Primary School for the work that they have done in securing and preparing resources for our children to have at home.
It’s also important that we keep socially connected through telephone calls, video chats and social media. Let’s keep celebrating the good things together.
If you would like to talk to a School Association Executive member, please feel free to contact:
