From the Principal

Every school day matters
As Term 2 kicks off, we wanted to share a timely reminder about the importance of school attendance.
We love seeing your child at school every day – it’s the best place for them to learn and grow. It’s a chance to be around their friends, learn new things (including life skills), spark their curiosity, and have fun.
For tips on creating positive attendance habits, visit the Anything can happen website.
Please talk to us if you’re having trouble getting your child to school. We’re here to help and support is available.
School Grounds – After Hours
It is great that our school grounds are accessible for people to use our courts and play equipment after school, during holidays and weekends. Unfortunately, recently we have experienced vandalism in a couple of broken windows, fly screens and safety screens throughout the school. I ask that if you witness, see, or know of anyone not being respectful in our school please contact the school office. The repair of damage comes at a cost to our students and resourcing of teaching and learning resources.
Prep – Grade 2 Swimming Program
This week our Prep to Grade 2 students have started their fortnight long Swimming Orientation Program in our school pool. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to increase their confidence in the water, learn about being safe around water environments, learn basic stroke development in a fun environment. The first few days have been an enormous success. It is great to have parent and family volunteers support during the lessons.
