Readers Cup

Readers Cup is a competition where you form groups and read five books. After you read all the books you and your team will choose a book to create a creative demonstration on the morals of the book. There is also a quiz where the teams will answer questions about the 5 books.

On the 14th of May the three teams that took part in Readers Cup competed to see who would get to go to the interschool championship. At nine o’clock the three teams took the quiz, everyone put in a great effort.

On the same day, in the afternoon the three teams presented their creative representation of the morals on the book they chose. Team GSW presented a diorama about Fantastic Mr Fox, Team Grug presented a PowerPoint about the morals of Parvana, and the Intergalactic Super Potatoes came up with a play about the book Silly Billy.

The Intergalactic Super Potatoes won both the creative challenge and the quiz, so they were the overall winners. In second place was team Grug, and in third place was GSW.

I think Readers Cup was a great competition and that people tried their hardest. I personally enjoyed participating in Readers Cup and I hope other students did too!
