From the Principal

As Term 3 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been a busy and productive period at Exeter Primary School. Our students have engaged in a wide range of learning experiences beyond the classroom, enriching their education and building valuable life skills.

Despite the challenges posed by widespread illness affecting both staff and students, we’ve been able to maintain strong teaching structures and routines. This has been possible thanks to our dedicated pool of relief staff who know our students well and understand the way our school operates. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the following individuals for their ongoing support and professionalism:

  • Helen Purtell
  • Mike Puccetti
  • Felicity Hewitt
  • Mary Parsell
  • Jonty Saville

I would also like to inform our school community that Miss Amnesty Achilles will be taking long service leave during Term 4.  Families have been notified via email about the changes for their children.

Additionally, a special thank you to Mrs Renee Jordan, who has worked as a Teacher Assistant in Kindergarten during part of the term. Renee has seamlessly integrated into the team, and we look forward to welcoming her back in a TA capacity in the near future.

Swimming and Water Safety Program

Over the past fortnight, our Grade 3–5 students have participated in the Swimming and Water Safety Program at the Launceston Aquatic Centre. Their commitment, courage, and enthusiasm have been truly commendable. It has been a highlight to see each student grow in confidence and skill, and they should all be proud of their efforts and engagement throughout the program.

TPSSA Country Gold Carnivals

This Thursday, several of our students will represent the Tamar Primary School region in the TPSSA Country Gold Carnivals, competing against other regional teams from across Northern Tasmania. Congratulations to the following students for being selected:

We wish all participants the very best and know they will represent our school and region with pride.

I would like to wish everyone a restful and safe holiday period and I look forward to see everyone back in Term 4.
