On Tuesday, the 1-2 classes enjoyed a visit to their classrooms to support and encourage them on their reading journeys. Hawthorn Football Club have been a strong supporter of the Government’s efforts to promote literacy in primary schools.  They have are also a brand partner of the Premier’s Reading Challenge.

The classes enjoyed hearing about Hawka’s night-time reading routine and listening to a story with the themes of perseverance and kindness. This was followed by a discussion about health and nutrition. The students loved having Hawka visit, it was such a fun and wonderful way to promote reading.
